Dia Kamis is a Bruneian-born musician and producer based in Newcastle, Australia. She writes, plays, and produces all her music, crafting dreamy, cinematic soundscapes with ethereal strings, ambient textures, and elements of dream pop.

 

In 2020, she began writing and singing her own songs, eventually setting up her own studio in her apartment to refine her sound and develop her artistic identity.

Her debut single, Dive, introduced her to the world, receiving a strong response and amassing over 11,000 views on its music video. It is inspired by Lana Del Rey’s atmospheric depth and Billie Eilish’s raw lyricism.

Her influences span from The Beatles, opera, jazz, and composers like Chopin and Bruckner to Metallica and modern pop. She blends these inspirations into cinematic compositions, exploring new sonic landscapes.
